Philosophy of Editing

You’ve worked hard on your manuscript and are proud of what you’ve achieved, and for that reason alone, your work deserves nothing less than a professional edit. And like all authors, you’ll be judged by what you put on the page–there’s no question about it. Your credibility as an author can easily take a hit if what you put out there for public consumption is substandard.

Getting your manuscript edited is not a luxury but an essential part of the publishing process. And getting your manuscript edited by someone who feels invested in your success is ideal. I stand behind you and your work by providing you with quality editorial services. Simply put, I want you to write the best book you can, and I’m here to help you achieve that goal–in a way that respects what you have to say and honours your writer’s voice.

  1. Caroline you have mentioned 2 extremely important statements for me as a writer who is having her book edited soon.
    The first is:
-respecting what the writer has to say
    The second is:
    -honoring the writer’s voice.
I am afraid of losing my writing voice in the editing process so it’s comforting to know that I’m in the hands of an Editor whose philosophy is so close to my own.

    1. Thank you for your comment, Joan. Respecting the message and honouring the writer’s voice are both crucial elements in editing.
